Dear Grandmasters, Masters, instructors, Coaches, and Athletes 
It is my great pleasure to invite you to this year's 2025 AUSTIN OPEN international. taking place on October 3-4 2025,
this tournament will be held At the Round Rock Sports Complex
​2400 Chisholm Trail Rd, Round Rock, TX 78681
    
featuring Olympic Sparring.and TKD forms competition 
We are working very hard to provide you only the best awards Venue, and experience.
 Awards will be presented to all first, second, third and third place winners in forms and sparring divisions; most divisions will have four participants per division in sparring. Visual Matching and Visual pairing wil be made to fairly achieve equity for competitors. All rings will have mats and electronic scoring. All schools or academies are encouraged to afford a trained and certified referee or official as we strive in promoting good representation and fair play We will have an award for the top performing Official at the tournament.

recommend turning your tournament visit into a fun weekend vacation. There are many attractions, things to do in the the central Texas area visit the Outlet malls both the new ones in Round Rock to the North, and in the San Marcos the Outlets to the South and of course Austin been the Music "Capitol of the world" you are sure to find a venue that can indulge your taste for Music

COACH RULES AND INFO, JANUARY 25 2025
General Information
  • All Coaches must register online.
  • COACH FLOOR Passes will be handled in the following manner,                                                                                        Each school will be allowed ONE COACH PASS for every TEN participants registered, Thats's (One pass for every 10 students). Additional Coach passes can be purchased each at  $40  each, available the day of the event.
  • Coaches must wear their passes at all times on the gym floor. A coach's pass may be revoked at the discretion of the Tournament Director.  
Rules & Regulations
  1. Coach badge required for all coaches, no borrowing tags. VIP/Grandmaster badge alone is not eligible to coach.
  2. Hats, slippers/sandals/flip-flops, jeans, shorts, tight leggings are prohibited attire for coaches.
  3. Only one coach is permitted on the competition floor with one competitor.
  4. Coaches and competitors shall be seated next to "the ring table"and not standing at the ring.
  5. Kicking pads/targets are not permitted on the competition floor.
  6. Assistant coaches and parents with coach badge are not permitted at the ring to help a coach, yell or cheer. Exception: may stay at ring to sit with another competitor waiting to compete but must leave competition floor if not sitting in coach’s chair when match is called.
  7. NO PICTURES OR VIDEO allowed on the competition floor without a "MEDIA PASS". Furthermore video will not be allowed as evidence of ( score or an infraction ) 
  8. Waiting period for coaches: coach has 2 minutes to get to ring, otherwise match starts without coach.
  9. Late coach can only enter ring in between rounds, not during round.
  10. Coaches shall not enter or stand in center aisles or areas between rings, and shall remain seated, at all times, at the outer most portion of the rings on the floor or chairs closest to the walls.
  11. Coach should in no time address the opposing Coach, He's or Her Student, Coach should only address the Center Referee via the Blue card Red Card System Only This should be a Cordial and Respectful Communication or the proper sanctions and rules should apply.
  12. We have established this Concussion Policy That aligns with the AAU, which is as follows:
    Where there is reasonable cause to believe that a concussion may have occurred, such participant shall not be allowed to continue his/her participation in an competition event without a medical release to resume such participation. Coaches, Masters, Teachers HEADS UP

Violation of any of these rules shall result in surrender of coach badge. Failure to surrender coach badge when first requested by the Referee Advisor, Referee Chairman, or any Referee or Tournament Committee Member will result in removal from competition floor and Tournament venue for the remainder of the event. 
Dress Code
Coaches are prohibited from wearing jeans, shorts, tank-tops, hat/cap, tight leggings, or slippers while on the arena floor or coaching a competitor.    
​Following dress codes either USAT or AAU Coach dress codes should be okay
ADDITIONALLY, FYI. 
All competitors have to show up to the staging area when their division is called. they will be placed in their specific bracket, sub-division, they will stay together through sparring then will go to the forms dedicated ring if one isn't doing forms he/she must stay with that group till forms is done then they will go "together" to the awards table get their awards then up the stairs to the spectators area, Students will not be permitted back on the competition floor ones their division is done competing. ​
